Points of Interest

Chambers County Golf Course. A picturesque course with 18-holes, four lakes, a pro-shop, cart rental, and a PGA professional, this 151-acre course is located 1/2 mile off 1nterstate 10 East, Exit 812.

Fort Anahuac Park. This historic site, called the Birthplace of the Texas Revolution, is where a fort was established in the 1830s. Today
the site is a county park with an historical marker.

Chambers Home. The original residence built in the 1830s by Thomas Jefferson Chambers (for whom the county was named).Shilling Office. You can tour the 1890 medical office of Dr. Nicholas Shilling and see turn-of-the-century medical equipment.

Chambers County Historical Museum. Located at 300 Cummings Street, the museum contains many artifacts, files, documents and memorabilia of the past and present history of the county.

Water-Borne Education Center. An educational mobile water-borne facility created in 1998 that provides hands-on environmental education.

Veterans Memorial. Newly constructed in front of the American Legion Hall at Fort Anahuac Park, this memorial is a tribute to all the men and women who have served our country to preserve the freedom we enjoy. It is dedicated to all veterans who have served with Duty and Honor, and to those who have given all so that we can plan for the future.

Wallisville Heritage Park. A genealogy library with a local history research center and museum.
