Anahuac Independent School District

Anahuac Independent School District (AISD) encompasses 364 square miles. The district proudly serves approximately 1,400 students each year from early childhood through twelfth grade. Anahuac elementary and middle schools are Recognized campuses by the Texas Education Agency. Anahuac High School is rated Academically Acceptable. The three additional campuses include a Credit Recovery campus, a Special Education campus, and a Disciplinary Alternative Education Placement campus.

The district’s athletic program offers a wide variety of team sports for boys and girls in the seventh through twelfth grades. The sports program includes football, baseball and softball, basketball, volleyball, cross country, track and field, golf and tennis.

The district’s band, “The Pride of Anahuac,” consistently demonstrates its ability to remain one of the best band programs in the state. The district’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) program competes in a wide range of events – both leadership and career development oriented. Anahuac FFA
is one of the top chapters in Texas, competing on the state level for the past five years.

AISD also offers other extra curricular activities such as choir, UIL academics, and various student involvement clubs, all with numerous accolades to their credit.

It is the mission at AISD to provide the tools necessary for all students to reach their potential in an ever-changing society. The district is achieving the mission through dedicated administrators and staff, a highly devoted Board of Trustees, involved community and parents, and hard working students.
